摘要: Surgical procedures, kits and implants for alleviating human incontinence, and particularly providing improved methods and apparatus to secure a urethral sling to pubic bone in a sub-urethral location to support the urethra and alleviate incontinence are disclosed. Bone anchors, e.g., bone screws, are driven into pubic bones with exposed bone anchor heads and necks configured to receive and support a urethral sling applied to the bone anchors with and without retainers applied against the urethral sling to retain portions of the urethral sling between the bone anchor heads and the pubic bones.

摘要: Described are needleless injection systems and methods that involve features including one or more of a tissue tensioner and a fitting that includes or attaches to a shaft, exemplary embodiments including: an elastic sleeve sized to fit under tension about the distal end of a flexible scope, such as an endoscope; a non-metal, polymeric tube-like device being optionally attached to the elastic sleeve for delivering a therapeutic fluid to a treatment site within a patient wherein the elastic sleeve may include an integral balloon (tissue tensioner) feature that can be used to position the injection orifice of the tube-like device proximate a treatment area.

摘要: An anastomosis device that includes a catheter body is provided. A distal end portion of the catheter can include a spring device to prevent the formation of blood clots and to improve the flow of urine out of the catheter. The device may be used, for example, in performing procedures such as a vesico-urethral anastomosis in association with a radical prostatectomy, or with an end-to-end urethral anastomosis.

摘要: A removable stent system and method for extraction of a removable stent from a target site is disclosed. The removable stent includes a removable stent having a collapsible end and a collapsing element configured for coupling with a removal tool. The collapsing element can be configured as a lasso or can be movable between two positions when deployed at a target site in vivo. The removable stent overcomes disadvantages and limitations of previous types of stents as well as overcoming complications during or following stent deployment in vivo. The removable stent further includes features that increase its ease of use and reduce the maneuvering required of devices or tools used to remove the stent. This then decreases the amount of effort required by the physician, the procedure time, and the level of discomfort experienced by a patient during the procedure.
