摘要: The present disclosure is in the field of plant breeding and disease resistance. The disclosure provides methods for breeding corn plants having downy mildew (DM) resistance using marker-assisted selection. The disclosure further provides corn germplasm resistant to DM. The disclosure also provides markers associated with DM resistance loci for introgressing these loci into elite germplasm in a breeding program, thus producing novel DM resistant germplasm.
