Abstract: The present invention provides compositions and methods for producing haploid induction. Genetic elements associated with haploid induction, recombinant DNA constructs comprising the genetic elements are also provided. Methods are further provided for generating haploid inducer plants, haploid plants, and doubled haploid plants (including spontaneous diploidization).
