Fastener elements are attached to a side edge of a fastener tape composed of a knitting structure. An interval between the elements and a wale in the vicinity of the elements is formed into a thin knitted fabric. A flange on a side of a rear mouth of a slider is disposed on the thin knitted fabric and the slider is slid based on this section. For this purpose, an outer side of a bottom end face of the flange is cut out to provide with a notch portion, so that this portion is formed with a small width. Consequently, the thin knitted fabric is slid and introduced securely, and making a pressure contact with a surface of the wale is prevented. Even if a fastener is mounted on trousers and its fabric is pulled in a lateral direction forcibly to open, the elements are prevented from biting into a tape guide groove and escaping.

A pull attachment portion is provided on a slider body integrally and a pull connecting ring has attachment plates integrally. A slit is formed in a center of the pull connecting ring and the attachment plates and provided with engaging portions on both sides of the slit, and free end portions of the engaging portions are protruded from the attachment plates. A through hole is provided in a face of an accommodating portion provided in an end of a pull main body for accommodating the attachment plate so as to form a holding portion. After deforming the attachment plates elastically in vertical directions through the slit and passing one of them through the pull attachment portion, the attachment plates are accommodated in the accommodating portion and fixed therein. Replacement of the pull is carried out by pressing the engaging portions through the through hole and removing them.

A pull tab has a cam on an eccentric axle. A slider with lock for a slide fastener is provided of which the built-in lock comprises (a) a cylindrical housing integrally fixed onto the upper wing of the slider body and provided with a sloped cam face on the inner surface thereof, (b) a rotor coaxially installed within the housing, capable of being turned with a key and capable of moving in the axial direction when turned by being guided along the sloped cam face on the inner surface of the housing, (c) a locking member with a lock claw directed toward the element rows of the slide fastener and engaged with the rotor so as to be moved in the axial direction of the rotor by rotating by being guided along the sloped cam face, (d) a spring interposed between the rotor and the locking member so that the locking member is always urged toward the element rows, and (e) a cover. With this structure of the lock, the element rows are locked by being jammed with the lock claw which is pressed firmly by the compressive resilience of the spring.
