摘要： Methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture for detecting objects in images using color histograms are disclosed. An example method disclosed herein comprises segmenting an image into sets of subregions, different sets having at least one of different subregion sizes or different subregion offsets relative to one another, determining a first comparison metric quantifying comparison of a first subregion with the object based on differences between bin values of a second color histogram corresponding to the object and adjusted bin values of a first color histogram corresponding to the first subregion, determining a second comparison metric quantifying comparison of a second subregion with the object, and comparing the first and second comparison metrics with a threshold to identify at least one of the subregions as being associated with a possible location of the object in the image.

Initially, location information associated with an audience member is obtained. It is then determined whether the audience member is in compliance with the usage guidelines based on the location information. Media monitoring information corresponding to the location information is then tagged as non-compliant if the audience member is not in compliance with the usage guidelines.

An example method disclosed herein to compare a first video and a second video comprises obtaining a first color histogram corresponding to a sequence of frames of the first video, obtaining a second color histogram corresponding to a sequence of frames of the second video, determining a first comparison metric based on differences between bin values of the first color histogram and adjusted bin values of the second color histogram, and determining whether the first video and the second video match based on the first comparison metric.

An example method disclosed herein comprises processing first bus information obtained by monitoring a bus of a time shifting device to determine a record time corresponding to when the time-shifting device stored data associated with first media content being recorded for later presentation, processing second bus information obtained by monitoring the bus of the time shifting device to determine a playback time corresponding to when the time-shifting device later retrieved the data to present the recorded first media content, and estimating a possible distribution time corresponding to when the first media content was initially distributed to the time-shifting device based on a difference between the playback time and the record time.

An example housing includes a base for mounting the housing to the shopping carrier and a guard cover for protecting the identification tag. The guard cover includes a plurality of sidewalls extending from the base plate and a top wall extending between the sidewalls, the sidewalls and the top wall bounding an interior having an opening. The identification tag is mounted at least partially inside the interior of the guard cover.

摘要： A system and method for handling a query seeking information about computers of a network, where the query can be optimized in a way which limits the set of computers examined to a set smaller than all known computers. The query is examined to determine a limited list of computers to be accessed that would yield the complete result. If the query can be satisfied using data from a number of computers which is less than all of the computers in the network, then the number of computers which is less than all of the computers in the network is accessed to satisfy the query. In this manner, the data collection process for satisfying the query is generally more efficient than accessing all of the computers in the network.
