A lance (22) and an elastic displacement-allowing space (24) are formed within the terminal receiving chamber (15). A groove (23) is formed in an upper partition wall (16) of the terminal receiving chamber (15) which is opposed to the connection terminal (2), and has the elastic displacement-allowing space (24) formed therein. A lance displacement detection pin (35) of a connector inspecting instrument (4) for detecting a half-insertion condition of the connection terminal (2), as well as a distal end portion (30) of the lance (22), can be inserted into and removed from the groove (23). The length of the distal end portion (30) of the lance (22) is determined in accordance with a depth of the groove (23).

    摘要: In a connector fitting construction of the invention, a slider 60 is slidably supported within a housing 53 of a female connector 50 housing, and when the female connector is to be fitted relative to a male connector 70, the slider cooperates with compression springs 59 to flex a lock arm 56 so as to retainingly engage the lock arm with the male connector 70. A pair of abutment projections 64 are formed respectively at opposite side portions of a lower surface of a slider arm 62 provided at the slider 60. A pair of stopper projections 72 are formed on an upper surface of a housing 71 of the male connector 70, and are pressed respectively against the abutment projections 64 during a connector fitting operation to move the slider 60 toward a rear end of the female connector 50. An abutment surface 72a of a generally trapezoidal shape is formed on a front surface of each of the stopper projections 72. An abutment surface 64a of the abutment projection 64 is a slanted surface which is slanting downwardly rearwardly, and the abutment surface 72a of the stopper projection 72 is a slanted surface which is slanting downwardly forwardly.

    摘要: A case having a case body, in which a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers are formed in parallel, and an elastic waterproof portion, which is formed integrally with the case body and which has a plurality of wire insertion holes into which covered wires are inserted in a waterproof state is inserted through an opened portion of a connector housing so that the elastic waterproof portion is fitted to the opened portion in a waterproof state. Therefore, when the covered wires are inserted into the wire insertion holes, the projecting portions of the covered wires simply are required to be adjusted to have a predetermined length. Thus, the necessity of furthermore adjusting the projection portion when the solderless connection is established can be eliminated. Since the elastic waterproof portion is formed integrally with the case body, pressure cannot easily act on the portions in which the solderless terminals and the covered wires are solderless-connected to one another even if the elastic waterproof portion is strongly pressed to the inside of the opened portion. Therefore, the electrically conductive state between the solderless terminals and the covered wires can be maintained.

    摘要: An incomplete-engagement prevention type connector assembly including male and female connectors which has an incomplete-engagement preventing function and is used, for instance, in an electrical system in an automobile. In the connector assembly, in an engaging section of the male connector an engaging member is protruded in the direction of engagement, and a flexible engaging auxiliary member is provided. The lower surface of the front end portion of the engaging auxiliary member is a sloped surface. Furthermore, in the engaging section, a pair of right and left engaging lock members are protruded. On the other hand, a sloped surface is formed on the upper surface of the housing of the female connector. Behind the sloped surface on the upper surface of the housing, provided are an engaging fixation section adapted to lock the engaging member, and disengaging members adapted to disengaged the male and female connectors from each other. The front end portions of the disengaging members are formed into hook members having tapered surfaces.

    摘要: A hood assembly attached to a female connector includes slide members on the top and bottom thereof which are slid in a direction perpendicular to a fitting direction of male and female connectors. As a result of a movement of the slide members, guide pins provided on the male connector is guided by guide grooves provided on the slide members to pull the male connector into the hood assembly, thereby fitting the connectors to each other. A hood portion of the female connector is inserted between upper and lower flanges of the hood assembly with anchoring holes provided on the hood assembly and anchoring projections provided on the female connector in positions shifted from each other, and the hood assembly and the female connector are slid in this state into a normal position where the anchoring projections engage the anchoring holes.
