摘要: Flushing regions for receiving ink droplets to be ejected when flushing signal is supplied to a recording head are provided in both of non-print regions situated at both sides of print region in order to prevent throughput during the flushing operation from deteriorating. A guide member having a slant surface is disposed between the recording head and an ink absorbing member to which the ink landed on the slant surface flows in order to reduce in size of the ink absorbing member. A porous sheet member closely faced to nozzle orifices of the recording head for receiving the ink droplets ejected therefrom is provided in order to prevent undesired mist of fine ink droplets from generating. A plurality of plate members closely faced to the nozzle orifices are provided at a predetermined angle with respect to the flight direction of the ink droplets in order to prevent the undesired mist from generating. The flushing operation is performed so as to prevent solidification of the ejected ink.

摘要: An ink-jet recording apparatus includes a recording head 6 having a plurality of nozzles which are classified into at least two classes, and a driver 29 for causing ink to be jetted from the nozzles 15 to carry out a flushing operation. A setting unit 38 sets up volumes of ink which should be jetted from the nozzles 15 in such a manner that a volume of ink which should be jetted from a nozzle of a class is set up separately from a volume of ink which should be jetted from a nozzle of another class. A recovering operation controller 30 causes the driver to carry out the flushing operation of the nozzles 15 so that volumes of ink actually jetted from the nozzles 15 during the flushing operation are respectively coincident with the volumes of ink set up by the setting unit 38. The ink-jet recording apparatus can carry out the flushing operation more efficiently.

摘要: A connection part is attached to an end of a liquid delivery tube, the connection part being provided with a flow path for changing the flowing direction of a liquid. A method for attaching the connection part to the liquid delivery tube comprises the steps of: preparing a pin having a leading end portion of substantially the same section as that of the flow path of the liquid delivery tube and an arcuate portion which curves in an arc from the leading end portion so as to have a substantially constant section; inserting the leading end portion of the pin into the flow path from at least one end of the liquid delivery tube; placing dies so as to enclose at least one end of the liquid delivery tube; forming the connection part by outsert molding from resin which fills the dies in which the liquid delivery tube and the pin are placed; and extracting the pin from the liquid delivery tube in a direction along the arcuate shape of the pin after removal of the dies from the liquid delivery tube and the connection part.
