    Abstract: A coil component includes a first wire wound to form a first layer in a direction from a first end toward a second end, and a second wire wound around the first wire to form a second layer in the direction from the first end toward the second end while turns of the second wire fit in recesses formed between adjacent turns of the first wire. The second wire subsequently turns back from the end positioned closer to the second end toward the first end and extends to an outer side of the second layer. Then, the second wire is wound around the second layer to form a third layer while turns of the second wire fit in recesses formed between adjacent turns of the second wire in the second layer. The second wire subsequently extends to the second layer on the outer side of the first layer.

    Abstract: A common mode choke coil includes a core having a winding core part and a first and second wire wound around the winding core part. The winding core part has a first winding region, a switching region and second winding regions in this order along the axis of the winding core part. In the first winding region, each turn of the first wire is located closer to a first end portion of the winding core part than the corresponding same-numbered turn of the second wire. In the second winding region, each turn of the first wire is located closer to a second end portion of the winding core part than the corresponding same-numbered turn of the second wire. The number of turns of the first and second wires in the first winding region differs from the number of turns of the first and second wires in the second winding region.

    Abstract: In a coil component, a first wire has a part that extends in a spiral shape along a peripheral surface of a winding core part with a central axis being the axis of rotation. A second wire has a part that extends in a spiral shape outside the peripheral surface of the winding core in a radial direction centered on the central axis with the central axis being the axis of rotation. The second wire includes an outer part and an inner part. The inner part extends continuously along the peripheral surface of the winding core part in a spiral shape through a range greater than 360 degrees. The outer part extends in a spiral shape outside the inner part in a radial direction centered on the central axis. The inner part is located between the L-th turn and the (L+1)-th turn of the first wire.

    Abstract: A coil component includes a winding core section. A first flange section and a second flange section are disposed on a first end and a second end of the winding core section in the axial direction, respectively. A second terminal electrode is disposed on the first flange section on a second end side in a first direction perpendicular to the axial direction. A fourth terminal electrode is disposed on the second flange section on a second end side in the first direction. When in a portion of the second wire wound around the winding core section, a single round nearest an end connected to the fourth terminal electrode is defined as the Nth turn, at least two turns of the wire closer to the second flange section than the Nth turn of the second wire in the axial direction are present.
