Abstract: A cleaning device includes a protection cover in a viewing field of a camera, a piezoelectric material to vibrate the protection cover, a driver to drive the piezoelectric material, a vibrator to detect a signal related to a vibration level of the protection cover vibrated with the piezoelectric material, and a controller to control the driver based on a signal detected by the vibration sensor so that the signal detected by the vibrator matches a predetermined target value of the vibration level of the protection cover.

Abstract: A cleaning device includes a casing holding an image capturing device, a protective cover disposed in a visual field of the image capturing device, a vibrator to vibrate the protective cover, a controller to control the vibrator, a monitor to detect an electrical characteristic value associated with a vibration of the vibrator, and a storage to store determination criteria based on which the controller evaluates the electrical characteristic value detected by the monitor. The controller is configured to evaluate the electrical characteristic value based on the plurality of determination criteria stored in the storage and clean a surface of the translucent body by controlling the vibrator according to the determination.

Abstract: A drive control device is provided that drives an ultrasonic motor element including a vibrating body and piezoelectric elements provided on the vibrating body. The drive control device includes a speed detector that detects a driving speed of the ultrasonic motor element, a controller that sets drive conditions of the ultrasonic motor element, and a drive circuit unit that applies a drive voltage to the piezoelectric elements based on the drive conditions set by the controller. Moreover, the controller sets the drive conditions of the ultrasonic motor element based on the accumulated operation time for each driving speed of the ultrasonic motor element.

Abstract: A drive control device is provided that vibrates a vibrating body by applying signals having mutually different phases to a plurality of electrodes provided at a piezoelectric element on the vibrating body. The drive control device includes a signal application unit that selectively applies a signal to an electrode of the plurality of electrodes; an amplitude detection unit that receives a feedback signal from an electrode different from the electrode to which the signal application unit has performed selective application; and a signal condition control unit that controls a condition of a signal to be applied by the signal application unit based on the feedback signal.
