摘要:
The present invention is a method, system and apparatus for event notification framework in a system of dynamically aggregated logical components. In accordance with the present invention, an event notification and management system can include one or more logical components coupled to corresponding dynamic proxies. An event notification service can be communicatively linked to one or more subscribing processes. Finally, an event queue can be disposed between the dynamic proxies and the event notification service.

The system and method of the present invention allows a Chair to a meeting to pre-define an agenda in the meeting invitation and to send the meeting invitation to the Invitees/Attendees. The Invitees/Attendees receive the meeting notice to determine whether they can attend the meeting during the time/date specified. In the event that the Invitees/Attendees can only attend a portion of the meeting, the Invitees/Attendees are given an option to request reordering of agenda items. After receiving enough receipts, the Meeting Chair can decide to reorder the agenda items and send an update to Invitees/Attendees prior to the meeting or not to reorder and the original agenda stands.

The present invention provides various simple and easy ways for each end user to manage the thread in a way that suits them. In some cases, the user experience requires only a single click. Additional embodiments allow user to manage inbox space, recover suppressed threads, be alerted on contextual changes of such threads, and so forth. The system allows the user to specifically configure his/her own email thread management scheme by selecting an email and choosing “Suppress Thread” on his/her user interface. The system then performs a number of steps such as examining the and headers of the selected email to configure the suppress filter. Once configured, the system will examine each email as it is received and examine its and headers per RFC 822. If the headers match the configured and headers, the emails will be suppressed in the manner chosen by the user such as deletion or move to folder.

The system and method of the present invention provides automatic tools and visual hints to a meeting host who is scheduling a meeting to book meeting related resources more efficiently by utilizing pre provided profile information and additional meta data from meeting confirmations. When host schedules a meeting, he selects the location information and checks the “visual” flag if needed. Any point in time, each attendee fills in user profile information. Upon accepting invitation, each attendee fills in the type of attendance field. Each attendee, after accepting invite, can change the type of participation by going to the calendar system and changing his settings. The change will be sent to the server to update the scheduled meeting object. A reservation system that is connected to the scheduling system would then collect information about the meeting type and required resource allocated and make the necessary bookings accordingly. The auto assigned resources can include (but are not limited to): conference room—if invitees plan to attend in-person conference room with projector—if invitees plan to attend in-person and visual information to be present dial in conference call number—if remote invitees attending the meeting online meeting—if remote invitees attending the meeting, if meeting scheduled with visual information to be present.

A method of automatically creating macros for a computer program can include identifying text instructions within a help documentation of a computer program and associating the text instructions with actions of the computer program. The method further can include creating a macro for the computer program using the actions and providing a user accessible mechanism within the computer program for invoking the macro.

Embodiments of the present invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to meeting time conflict management and resolution in a C&S system and provide a method, system and computer program product for event scheduling conflict management and resolution for unprocessed events in a collaborative computing environment. In one embodiment of the invention, a method of event scheduling conflict management and resolution for unprocessed events can be provided for a collaborative computing environment. The method can include proposing a new calendar event for a specified time slot not already scheduled for a processed calendar event, identifying an unprocessed, unscheduled, proposed event conflicting with the specified time slot, and prompting for conflict resolution of the conflict.
