Abstract: A measurement apparatus for carrying out an indentation creep test on a specimen, including a measurement control apparatus that includes a load measurement device, a constant-load compression device configured to compress a tip of a transparent indenter to a surface of the specimen, and an image capturing device configured to optically capture an image including a contact area portion which is a part of the specimen to which the load is applied by the constant-load compression device. The apparatus also includes an information processing apparatus that includes an image analysis unit configured to analyze a contact area, and a physical property value calculation unit. The physical property value calculation unit conducts linear regression with respect to a plot of a logarithmic value of the contact stress and a logarithmic value of the contact strain rate so as to determine a creep index n and creep constant k.

Abstract: A test method for characterizing the mechanical properties including the surface adhesion energy γ on the basis of the experimentally derived P-A relationship,where P means the indentation load under the penetration depth h of an indenter pressed onto a test specimen with surface adhesion, andA means the contact area of indentation at the contact radius a under the applied load of P.This test method enables the implementation for quantitatively as well as simultaneously characterizing the adhesion energy as well as the various mechanical properties (elastic/elastoplastic/viscoelastic properties) of soft materials.

Abstract: Provided is a composite body where ceramic crystals are thinly and uniformly coated onto a base material containing a hydrophilic polymer. The composite body has a base material containing a hydrophilic polymer, and a ceramic layer which is coated onto at least a portion of a surface of the base material, and the ceramic layer contains crystals having a laminated structure. The ceramic layer may contain calcium phosphate. A thickness of the ceramic layer is 0.3 nm to 50 nm. The composite body is produced through a step of mixing and stirring a dispersion liquid in which the base material is dispersed, a first solution containing calcium ions, and a second solution containing phosphate ions.
