A slow wave circuit (10) includes a meandering waveguide (1) and a beam hole (2) that pierces the meandering waveguide (1), and the cross-section of the beam hole (2) in the direction orthogonal to the long direction is in the shape of a polygon having a larger number of sides than a quadrilateral.

Abstract: When a plurality of amplifiers for transmission source are used, a related traveling wave tube requires a large space for arranging a plurality of the traveling wave tubes. In this respect, a traveling wave tube of an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes two meander-shaped waveguides formed to have the same meander pitch, wherein the meander-shaped waveguides are assembled together such that beam holes of one of the meander-shaped waveguides and those of the other one are arranged on the same axis, and one of the meander-shaped waveguides is shifted with respect to the other one by a quarter folding period in the wave traveling direction.

Abstract: An invention comprises: a circular waveguide that has a cylindrical section having a circular pipe conduit with a circular shaped cross section, and side wall sections joined to the both sides in an axial direction of the cylindrical section; a first rectangular waveguide that has a first rectangular pipe conduit with a rectangular shaped cross section and that is joined to one of the side wall sections so that the first rectangular pipe conduit communicates with the circular pipe conduit; a second rectangular waveguide that has a second rectangular pipe conduit with a rectangular shaped cross section and that is joined to the other of the side wall sections so that the second rectangular pipe conduit communicates with the circular pipe conduit; and a dielectric plate that is configured as a plate shape, is disposed in the circular pipe conduit, and is airtightly held to the cylindrical section, wherein the circular waveguide has a plastically deformable section that is plastically deformable so that at least the length in an axial direction of the circular waveguide can be changed.
