Abstract: The invention provides methods and devices for securing the head of an animal in position while obtaining objective measurements associated with eye health. In one aspect, the devices comprise a rest for receiving a portion of the animal's head and a pole configured to enable the rest to pivot about a first axis of rotation and rotate about a second axis of rotation perpendicular to the first axis of rotation. In an embodiment, the rest can move up and down the second axis of rotation.
