    Abstract: A liquid fuel synthesis system includes a liquid fuel synthesis portion and a sweep gas supply unit. The liquid fuel synthesis portion is partitioned into a non-permeation side space and a permeation side space by the separation membrane. A temperature of the sweep gas flowing into the permeation side space is higher than at least one of a temperature of the raw material gas flowing into the non-permeation side space and a temperature of a first outflow gas flowing out of the non-permeation side space. A temperature of a second outflow gas flowing out of the permeation side space is higher than at least one of the temperature of the raw material gas flowing into the non-permeation side space and the temperature of the first outflow gas flowing out of the non-permeation side space.

    Abstract: In a first step of a method for producing a transparent AlN sintered body, first, a formed body is prepared by forming a mixture obtained by mixing a sintering aid with an AlN raw-material powder containing a plate-like AlN powder whose plate surface is a c-plane and which has an aspect ratio of 3 or more. At this time, the mixture is formed such that the plate surface of the plate-like AlN powder is disposed along a surface of the formed body. In a second step, an oriented AlN sintered body is obtained by subjecting the formed body to hot-press sintering in a non-oxidizing atmosphere while applying a pressure to the surface of the formed body. In a third step, a transparent AlN sintered body is obtained by sintering the oriented AlN sintered body at normal pressure in a non-oxidizing atmosphere to remove a component derived from the sintering aid.

    Abstract: A method for producing an oriented AlN sintered body includes a first step of preparing a formed body by forming a mixture obtained by mixing a sintering aid with an AlN raw-material powder containing a plate-like AlN powder whose plate surface is a c-plane and which has an aspect ratio of 3 or more and an average thickness of 0.05 to 1.8 μm, wherein the mixture is formed such that the plate surface of the plate-like AlN powder is disposed along a surface of the formed body; and a second step of obtaining an oriented AlN sintered body by subjecting the formed body to hot-press sintering in a non-oxidizing atmosphere while applying a pressure to the surface of the formed body.

    Abstract: A breaking strength tester includes: a tubular pressure container having opened both ends to house a part of a pillar-shaped honeycomb structure including a partition walls and a circumferential wall; a tubular pressurization elastic body disposed to surround an entire circumference of a pressurized portion having a length equal to or less than ½ of a length in an axial direction of the circumferential wall; a partial pressurization unit which elastically deforms the pressurization elastic body and applies uniform pressure to the entire circumference of the circumferential wall of the pressurized portion of the honeycomb structure housed in the pressure container up to pressure test strength; and a pressure measurement unit which measures a value of the uniform pressure applied to the circumferential wall by the pressurization elastic body.
