    Abstract: The application provides a porous film and a lithium-ion battery. The porous film according to the present application has excellent adhesion, and the pore structure of the porous film can still be well maintained after being immersed in the electrolyte, thereby reducing the probability of pore blockage of the porous film and allowing the lithium-ion battery to have high ionic conductivity. Therefore, the rate performance of the lithium-ion battery is greatly improved, and the lithium-ion battery provided has excellent rate performance and cycle performance.

The separator comprises: a porous substrate; and a porous layer arranged on a surface of the porous substrate, wherein the porous layer comprises inorganic particles and a binder, and a ratio of Dv90 of the inorganic particles to the thickness of the porous layer is in a range from 0.3 to 3.0. Excellent adhesion exists between the separator and the electrode according to the present application, which ensures that the energy storage device has good safety performance. Moreover, the rate performance and cycle performance of the energy storage device can be greatly improved due to the existence of inorganic particles in the separator.
