    Abstract: A hinge assembly for a vehicle closure panel includes a body mounting member configured to mount the hinge assembly to a vehicle body, a closure panel mounting member configured to mount the hinge assembly to the vehicle closure panel and a hinge connecting arm pivotally connected by a first pivotal connection at a first end to the body mounting member and pivotally connected by a second pivotal connection at a second end to the closure panel mounting member. A first fastening member is movably received by the closure panel mounting member. A first stop member limits movement of the first fastening member in a first direction toward the closure panel mounting member. A second stop member limits movement of the first fastening member in a second direction away from the closure panel mounting member.

    Abstract: A vehicle door structure includes inner and outer door panels, a door handle assembly and an impact pad. The inner door panel has an access opening that extends from an inboard surface to an outboard surface. The door handle assembly has a base portion overlaying an inboard surface of the outer door panel within a door cavity and a lever portion extending along an outboard surface of the outer door panel. The impact pad has a block portion and a projecting portion that extends from the block portion. The block portion overlays and contacts a portion of the outboard surface of the inner door panel adjacent to the access opening. The block portion is in vertical alignment with a portion of the base portion of the door handle. The projecting portion spans a horizontally measured width of the access opening.

    Abstract: A vehicle door hinge structure includes a first bracket, a second bracket, a hinge arm and a compressible check structure. The hinge arm has a first end that s attached to the first bracket for pivoting movement about a first pivot axis. The second bracket is attached to a second end of the hinge arm for pivoting movement about a second pivot axis. The compressible check structure is fixed in position to the first bracket. The compressible check structure is adjacent to and spaced apart from a stop surface of the first bracket. The compressible check structure extends upward away from a surface of the first bracket in an uncompressed state. However, a movement limiting surface of the hinge arm contacts and compresses the compressible check structure during a portion of movement of the hinge arm.

    Abstract: A hinge hydraulic infinite check structure includes a paddle having at least one hydraulic aperture is rigidly fixed to a shaft. The pivot shaft is supported for pivoting movement within a case. The case includes a wall portion rigidly fixed to a cylindrically shaped inner surface and extends radially inward to the shaft. Pivoting movement of the pivot shaft forces the hydraulic fluid to move through the aperture from a first side to a second side of the paddle generating movement resistance. With the pivot shaft being stationary relative to the fluid chamber, equilibrium of fluid pressure of the hydraulic fluid at the first side and the second side of the paddle imparts a resistance to pivoting movement of the pivot shaft relative to the fluid chamber.

    Abstract: A vehicle door hinge structure includes a body bracket, a hinge arm, a door bracket and a check structure. A first end of the hinge arm is attached to the body bracket for pivoting movement about a first pivot axis. A clip member of the check structure has a main body, a clip portion and a retention portion. The main body of the clip member extends through a clip aperture of the hinge arm.
