    Abstract: This invention relates to a method for Core Network (CN) controlled traffic transmission in a dual/multiple-connectivity system. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a request containing information about a status of dual/multiple connectivity from the radio access network node; determining and providing a policy on a usage of dual/multiple connectivity to the radio access network node. This invention also relates to a system of Core Network (CN) controlled traffic transmission for a dual/multiple-connectivity, an apparatus for Core Network (CN) controlled traffic transmission in a dual/multiple-connectivity system and a non-transitory computer-readable medium with executable instructions for executing the method.

    Abstract: Method for measurement gap configuration comprising: sending a first message including a first measurement gap configuration based on a UE(10) new measurement gap capability from a first network device(20) to the UE(10); detecting at the first network device(20) whether a legacy gap assisted measurement is required for the UE(10); responsive to the legacy gap assisted measurement being required, sending a second message including a second measurement gap configuration based on a UE(10) legacy measurement gap capability from the first network device(20) to the UE(10); sending a third message indicating fallback of the UE(10) the legacy measurement gap capability from the first network device(20) to a second network device(30) in communication with the UE(10).

    Abstract: A method includes determining in a network node that a first channel is to be established between an access node and a user equipment. The first channel including one of an uplink or downlink and being provided between said access node and said user equipment. The first channel provides information for controlling a data channel which is the other of said uplink and downlink and provided between said access node and said user equipment. The data channel is such said user equipment is provided with always on connectivity. The method also includes providing information to said access node to cause said first channel to be established responsive to said determination.
