Abstract: To provide a magnetic element such as a pot-shaped inductor in which a coil is covered by a magnetic body, having excellent cooling performance and being capable of suppressing heat generation. An inductor 1 as the magnetic element is provided with a coil formed by winding a winding wire, a magnetic body 2 in which the coil 5 is arranged and which transmits magnetic flux generated by the coil 5. The magnetic body 2 includes an air-cooling portion for air-cooling the magnetic element, on a magnetic body outer diameter portion which covers an outer diameter side of the coil 5. The air cooling portion is formed of a slit 7 as a hole structure penetrating the magnetic body outer diameter portion. Further, in a configuration in which the coil is sealed by a sealing resin, the magnetic body includes a flow control path, which controls a flow of the resin in filling the sealing resin, on a surface facing the coil.

Abstract: Provided is a hybrid magnetic device obtained by combining a central core having a higher relative permeability than a peripheral core but is able to inhibit magnetic saturation of the peripheral core having a low relative permeability. The magnetic device (1) includes: a peripheral core (5) disposed around the outer periphery of a coil (3); a central core (6) having a higher relative permeability than the peripheral core (5); and connection core portions (6, 6) at the outsides of ends in an axial direction of the coil (3), each connecting the central and peripheral cores (4, 5). Each or one of the portions (6, 6) includes a flange (4a) integrated with the central core (4) and extending from the central core (4) toward the peripheral core (6). The portions (6, 6) include a connection element (5a) other than the flange (4a), integrated with the peripheral core (5).

Abstract: Provided is a compact inductor in which electric insulation between a coil and a core is ensured. The inductor includes a core, a bobbin, and a coil. The core has a middle portion extending in a direction, and two collar portions spreading radially outward from both respective ends of the portion in the direction. The bobbin has a cylindrical portion extending in the direction and fitted to an outer periphery of the portion. The coil is wound on the portion via the portion. The bobbin further includes flange portions extending from both respective ends of the portion, each portion separating the corresponding portion from the coil, and a positioning portion located at a radially inner side with respect to a radially outer end of the portion. The positioning portion faces the corresponding portion, and projects toward and abuts the corresponding portion.
