摘要： A foaming device for a drink including a housing defining an internal volume for housing secondary liquid and a source of foaming gas. A nozzle communicates between the internal volume and an exterior of the housing and a plug seals the nozzle so as to prevent communication between the internal volume and the exterior of the housing. By releasing the plug, the secondary liquid can be released into the drink such that the foaming gas forms bubbles of secondary liquid in the drink and proteins/constituents within one or both of the primary liquid and the secondary liquid denature so as to create a stable foam.

摘要： Fluid packaging container of substantially rigid, or semi rigid construction. The container being configured to be operatively connectable to a beverage dispensing station. The fluid packaging container defines an interior space and contains a first volume of a liquid ingredient and a second volume of gas. In use the first and second volumes are each variable between a volume of substantially zero and a volume corresponding substantially to the interior space and being complementary to one another. Thereby the first and second volume together fill the interior space. The fluid packaging container in particular includes a fluid outlet arranged to communicate with the beverage dispensing station and pressure equalizing means for maintaining a predefined pressure in the second volume, irrespective of liquid withdrawn from the interior space.

The step of curing the article is effective to improve one or more properties of the article. Articles comprising polylactic acid also are provided having improved properties. Methods also are provided for preparing a beverage including the steps of providing a pod comprising polylactic acid, wherein the pod has been cured with heat while being supported by a carrier support system; placing a beverage material in the pod; placing a hot liquid into the pod; brewing the beverage material and hot liquid in the pod to create a beverage; and removing the beverage from the pod.

摘要： An emanator for emanating a composition into its surroundings, the emanator comprising: a container for containing a volatile liquid comprising a composition to be emanated; an emanation surface from which the volatile liquid evaporates; a wick for transporting the volatile liquid from the container to the emanation surface, characterized in that the transport of the liquid through both the wick and the emanator occurs at the surface of both the wick and the emanator and in that transport of the liquid through the wick occurs only at the surface of the wick by capillary action. In a preferred embodiment the wick and the emanation system are integrally formed from a material formed with microgrooves.
