摘要: A method and system for flexibly transferring data from one or more data sources to one or more data destinations within an information network where each of the one or more data sources have data in a particular source format and each of the one or more data destinations have data in the same or another particular destination format using a parameter database that includes parameters to control the transfer of data, a scheduler that initiates the transfer of data, and a data loader in communications with the parameter database and scheduler that, upon initiation by the scheduler, extracts data from the one or more data sources, manipulates the extracted source data into one or more destination formats associated with the one or more data destinations, and inserts the data into one or more data destinations according to the parameters within the parameter database.

摘要: A method and system for showing a user his position in a set geographic area in which all parts of the geographic area are visible on a display at all times, and in which the user's position is shown as moveable relative to the set geographic area. The method and system utilize a positioning system (such as GPS) on the user and a display visible to the user to track and display the user's movement. In some versions the user defines the geographic area by positioning himself at the edges of the area. In other versions the user marks the geographic area on a map or chart on the display. In this way the user will always know his position relative to the same boundaries, without the need for zooming or scrolling the display.

摘要: A system engaging users with internet advertisement areas using interesting content is presented. Areas normally devoted to internet advertisements are periodically replaced with engaging content. In one embodiment, RSS web feeds are used to obtain recent and summarized bits of engaging content to place in the advertising areas. In yet another embodiment, hybrid mixes of engaging content and advertisements are displayed. In this manner, internet viewers remain engaged with the areas on an internet web page that are normally devoted to internet advertisements.
