摘要: An acoustic system (100) includes a resonant cavity (106) that enhances an audio sound pressure signal produced by a transducer (102) and provides the enhanced audio sound pressure signal to a diffuser cavity (110) and an acoustic cover (120) to diffuse the sound pressure output signal across a greater area to facilitate properly placing the acoustic system (100) to a user's ear. Incorporation of the acoustic system (100) into a portable electronic device, such as a cellular telephone, provides an acoustically optimized and physically small audio generator that is easily located along a user's ear.

摘要: An acoustic porting arrangement is provided that uses sound pressure signal ports (202, 112) to enhance speaker (406) and microphone cartridge (402) performance when mounting the speaker (406) on a moveable component, such as a flip part (102) of a flip-type cellular phone (100). A speaker acoustic path (504) is incorporated into the moveable component (102) to enhance the acoustic performance of an acoustic transducer (406). A microphone acoustic pathway (502) is also created through the moveable component (102) that delivers sound pressure energy to a microphone (402) that is mounted on a base (104) when the moveable component (102) is in its closed position and covering the microphone (108). Some embodiments reuse a surface acoustic port (202) for both paths.

摘要: The invention concerns an adjustable charger (100) and a method (700) of using same. The adjustable charger can include a base portion (110) and an adjustable cradle (112) that can receive a single unit electronic device (130) having a display (132) or a flip-type electronic device (134) having a display (136). The adjustable cradle can position the single unit electronic device in a first viewing position and can position the flip-type electronic device in a second viewing position. In one arrangement, the first viewing position can be an optimal viewing position for a display of the single unit electronic device. In addition, the second viewing position can be an optimal viewing position for a display of the flip-type electronic device.
