    Abstract: An electrochemical device includes a shell, an electrode post, and an electrode assembly. A through-hole is provided on the shell. The electrode post is disposed on the shell and at least partially accommodated in the through-hole. The electrode post is electrically connected to the electrode assembly. A frangible portion is provided at a position corresponding to the through-hole on the electrode post. The frangible portion is configured to be burst open when a pressure in the shell reaches a threshold, so as to implement communication between inside and outside of the shell to relieve the pressure. Provided on the electrode post, the frangible portion can be broken when the pressure in the electrochemical device reaches the threshold, so as to relieve the pressure in the electrochemical device.

    Abstract: A positive electrode plate includes a composite current collector, a functional coating, and a positive electrode active material layer, where the functional coating is disposed on at least one surface of the composite current collector, and is located between the composite current collector and the positive electrode active material layer; and the functional coating comprises a positive electrode active material, and a D50 particle size of the positive electrode active material is less than or equal to 5 μm. This can reduce the stress applied to the composite current collector during a cold pressing process without losing energy density. In addition, this also can mitigate misalignment of a metal layer and a polymer film due to inconsistent stretching extents, and alleviate problems such as cracking of the metal layer of the composite current collector and the metal layer tending to fall off from the polymer film.

    Abstract: A battery cell, including an electrode assembly and a housing accommodating the electrode assembly. The housing includes a cavity and a cover covering the cavity. The cavity includes a flange extending along a border of an opening of the cavity. Periphery of the cover is connected to the flange to form a side wing to seal the cavity. The battery cell further includes a tab sandwiched between the side wings and extending out of the housing along the side wings. The side wing has a first sealing structure and a second sealing structure. A direction from an edge, away from the border, of the side wing to the border is defined as a first direction, and the second sealing structure exceeds the first sealing structure in the first direction.

    Abstract: An electrochemical apparatus includes a negative electrode plate, where the negative electrode plate includes a negative electrode current collector, a first layer, and a second layer. The first layer is disposed between the negative electrode current collector and the second layer. The first layer and the second layer both include graphite, and a ratio of crystallinity of graphite in the second layer to crystallinity of graphite in the first layer is 0.4 to 0.8. Using graphite with higher crystallinity in the first layer can achieve a higher capacity, increasing the energy density of the electrochemical apparatus; and using graphite with lower crystallinity in the second layer can avoid the problem of lithium precipitation on the surface of the high crystallinity graphite of the first layer, improving the kinetic performance of the electrochemical apparatus.
