摘要: A compression connector for connecting to a coaxial cable is provided. The compression connector is provided in a first state for fitting onto an end of the cable, after which it may be compressed to a second state, thereby joining the connector to the cable to make a coaxial cable assembly. The connector is comprised of a tubular connector body and a compression cap structured to slidably engage the second end of the tubular body. The connector is further internally configured with means for collapsing the first exposed corrugation of the outer conductor of the coaxial cable in the axial direction when the compression cap is compressed onto the tubular connector body.

摘要: A compression connector for connecting to a coaxial cable is provided. 摘要: Disclosed herein is a connector sleeve includes a first rib portion consisting essentially of a first material, and a second web portion consisting essentially of a second supple material and attached to the first rib portion to define the sleeve. The second supple material is softer and more elastic than the first material, and the sleeve is dimensioned to circumferentially surround a revolving portion of a connector in an interference fit such that rotation of the sleeve causes rotation of the revolving portion. The sleeve may be used to enhance torque for rotation of a nut used on a coaxial cable connector.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a coaxial cable preparation tool that includes a body and a cavity extending from the body configured to accommodate insertion of a coaxial cable therein. A blade attached to the body and positionable in the cavity, the blade configured to cut the coaxial cable when the body is rotated with respect to the coaxial cable. A circumferential adjustment mechanism within the cavity configured to adjust a gripping circumference within the cavity for gripping an outer jacket of the coaxial cable. Further disclosed is a method of preparing a coaxial cable that includes inserting the coaxial cable into a cavity of a coaxial cable preparation tool and adjusting a gripping circumference within the cavity of the coaxial cable preparation tool. The gripping circumference is configured to grip an outer jacket of the coaxial cable. The adjusting is accomplished by the inserting of the coaxial cable into the cavity.
