    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate discovery mechanisms. More particularly, MuLTEfire network discovery may benefit from mechanisms that optimize discovery. A method can include determining whether more network access related information is available than can fit in a beacon. The method can also include sending the beacon with some network access related information. The method can further include including, with the beacon, an indicator regarding whether additional network access related information is available, based on the determination of whether more network access related information is available than can fit in the beacon.

    Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from improved network connectivity through an available service provider. For example, certain communication systems may benefit from informing a user equipment of the available service providers without having to first establish an RRC connection. A method includes sending from a user equipment a radio resource control query request message to a network entity. The method also includes receiving at the user equipment a query response message in response to the radio resource control query request message. In addition, the method includes selecting at the user equipment a service provider based on the query response message.
