The present invention addresses apparatuses, methods and computer program product for providing improved distance to fault measurement for voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) on antenna line in networks. An embodiment of he present invention comprises the steps of transmitting a signal to a line to be tested, capturing a forward signal of the signal, capturing a reverse signal of the signal, separating the reflection of the signal in time domain via cross correlation of the forward signal and the reverse signal, and detecting a distance to fault in the line by searching and processing maximum peak position of the captured and separated signals.

The present subject matter relates to an apparatus for a communication system. The apparatus is configured for: for each beam direction of a set of beam directions of an antenna array of the communication system, determining a level of a passive intermodulation, PIM, signal at a receiver of the communication system, the PIM signal being caused by a set of signals transmitted by the antenna array in the beam direction, identifying beam directions of the set of beam directions whose PIM level is higher than a predefined threshold, adapting a beamforming of signals in at least part of the identified beam directions to mitigate the PIM level at the receiver.

An apparatus includes an estimation circuitry configured to receive a first set of one or more digital signals of transmitters of a communication system, and capture a set of one or more radio frequency signals that have been generated from the first set of digital signals The set of radio frequency signals being input of an antenna system of the communication system. Based on the first set of digital signals and the corresponding set of radio frequency signals, a set of weights related to a distortion effect caused by the generation of the radio frequency signals is derived. A received second set of digital signals is weighted using the set of weights, resulting in filtered signals. Using the filtered signals, a correction signal indicative of an interference caused by transmission of the second set of digital signals at a receiver of the communication system is estimated.

A first and second set of machine learned parameters may be provided in accordance with the system configuration. The received signals may be weighted using the first set of machine learned parameters. The weighted signals may be combined to generate a composite signal. The composite signal may be weighted with the second set of machine learned parameters in order to estimate an interference signal that is caused by the set of signals at a receiver of the communication system.
