    摘要: A slave device adapted to couple to a master processor and including an error handler and a communication controller. The error handler is configured to detect errors internal to the slave device and, in response to detecting at least one error and independent of the master processor, configured to select an error recovery operation based on the at least one detected error and to initiate and perform the selected error recovery operation. The communication controller is configured to communicate with the master processor according to a master/slave protocol, and configured to maintain the master/slave protocol during performance of the selected error recovery operation by the error handler.

    摘要: In one embodiment a method for processing an incoming packet in a port of an interconnect device includes speculatively forwarding the incoming packet to multiple buffers within the port prior to determining which of the multiple buffers is a target buffer for the packet, decoding the packet, and determining which of the multiple buffers is the target buffer for the packet using the decoded packet. The method further includes notifying an agent associated with the target buffer that the target buffer is an intended owner of the data packet. In one embodiment, agents associated with the multiple buffers are designated to process packets that are not subject to a credit-based flow control method.

    摘要: A networking system includes a plurality of ports, each adapted to send and receive data. A switch core has a first channel configured to receive a logical input flow from each of the plurality of input ports, and has a second channel configured to receive a raw input flow from each of the plurality of input ports. Each logical input flow is carried by its corresponding raw input flow. A plurality of port mirrors are selectable from the plurality of ports. Each of the plurality of port mirrors is configured to produce a duplicate copy of at least one of the logical input flow and the raw input flow available at a selected port.
