    Abstract: An apparatus for the thermal curing of a lens-forming material contained in a lens mold to form an ophthalmic lens comprises: a tray made of metal, the tray having a fixation opening, a mold support made of plastic, wherein the mold support has a fastener fixed to the tray at the fixation opening and fixing the mold support to the tray,wherein the mold support further has a positioning guide configured to position a lens mold on the mold support in a predetermined position relative to the tray and wherein the mold support further has a support surface, and a lens mold arranged on the mold support, the lens mold having a bearing surface resting on the support surface of the mold support. The lens mold is arranged spaced apart from the tray by a clearance distance.

    Abstract: A cuvette system (1) for use in the optical inspection of ophthalmic lenses comprises at least one receptacle (2) for accommodating an ophthalmic lens. The receptacle (2) has a longitudinal extension and an opening (20) arranged at one longitudinal end thereof. The receptacle (2) is adapted for containing a liquid. The cuvette system further comprises at least one inspection window (3) having an inspection surface (31). The inspection window (3) is arranged stationary and from the receptacle (2).     Abstract: A method for transporting a packaging shell (1) of an ophthalmic lens package comprises the steps of at a start location providing a packaging shell (1) comprising a depression (10), and a flange (11) completely surrounding the depression (10), providing a suction cup (2) having an opening (21) at a distal end thereof, which is completely surrounded by a rim (22) sized and shaped to engage the flange (11) in an engagement area completely enclosing the depression (10), positioning the suction cup (2) and the packaging shell (1) such that the rim (22) and the engagement area of the flange (11) face each other, moving the suction cup (2) and the packaging shell (1) towards each other, applying suction through the opening (21) of the suction cup (2), moving the suction cup (2) with the packaging shell (1) adhered thereto to the destination location, at the destination location releasing the suction, wherein a flexible sealing gasket (3) is arranged at the rim (22) to sealingly engage the flange (11) in the engagement area.
