摘要: A variety of thermoplastic parts are provided with precise micro-scale features and long-range macro-scale reproducibility. By combining the advantages of rigid tool molding and soft tooling into a hybrid tooling, complex and challenging microfeatures can be created in thermoplastic parts with remarkable positional accuracy and reproducibility. The parts described herein can demonstrate orders of magnitude smaller inter-part variations and order of magnitude smaller variations with respect to a master part as compared to conventional hard and soft tooling methods. In some aspects, a plurality of thermoplastic parts having precision micro-scale features and reproducible macro-scale dimensions are provided wherein the precision micro-scale features on each part comprise at least one challenging microfeature; and wherein a mean normalized displacement of the micro-scale features is about or less when measured between the parts in the plurality of thermoplastic parts.

摘要: A film edge sealing device is disclosed herein which has a groove defining a base. The base of the groove of the edge sealing device is oriented at a skewed angle with respect to a longitudinal direction of the conveyor of the heat sealing machine. Edges of a thermoplastic sheet or two stacked layers of thermoplastic sheets are introduced into the groove of the edge sealing device and placed in contact therewith to both heat and melt the edges of the thermoplastic sheet(s) to form a bead and join the edges thereof to form an edge bead seal.

摘要: This disclosure relates to ethylene interpolymer compositions. Specifically, ethylene interpolymer products having: a Dilution Index (Yd) greater than 0; total catalytic metal ≥3.0 ppm; ≥0.03 terminal vinyl unsaturations per 100 carbon atoms, and; optionally a Dimensionless Modulus (Xd) greater than 0. The disclosed ethylene interpolymer products have a melt index from about 0.3 to about 500 dg/minute, a density from about 0.869 to about 0.975 g/cm3, a polydispersity (Mw/Mn) from about 2 to about 25 and a CDBI50 from about 20% to about 97%. Further, the ethylene interpolymer products are a blend of at least two ethylene interpolymers; where one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a single-site catalyst formulation and at least one ethylene interpolymer is produced with a heterogeneous catalyst formulation.

摘要: A mold release processing method according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: (a) providing a mold releasing agent, including a fluorine-based silane coupling agent and a solvent, and a mold of which the surface has a porous alumina layer; (b) applying the mold releasing agent onto the surface; and (c) heating, either before or after the step (b), the surface to a temperature not less than 40° C. and less than 100° C. in an ambient with a relative humidity of 50% or more.
