    Abstract: An ultrasonic surgical instrument for boring a hole in a femur, including: an ultrasonic vibrator capable of generating ultrasonic vibration; a probe including a proximal end portion connected with the ultrasonic vibrator and a distal end treatment portion capable of boring a bone hole in the femur, and transmitting the ultrasonic vibration; and a cylindrical member covering the proximal end portion of the probe and not covering an exposed portion including the distal end treatment portion. The distal end treatment portion includes a columnar portion having a cross-sectional area that is larger than that of a remainder of the exposed portion of the probe.

    Abstract: An ultrasound device includes: an ultrasound generator; an ultrasound probe; and a distal end treatment portion capable of forming a bone hole when pressed against a bone. The distal end treatment portion includes a base portion, and a distal end portion. The distal end portion includes projections and a valley portion between adjacent projections. Each projection is formed of at least one excision surface that is inclined from a base of the projection to a distal top of the projection. The excision surface is capable of finely crushing the bone. The valley portion includes a valley peak at a distal-most meeting point of adjacent projections such that a surface of the valley extending distally from a point at which the valley meets an outer surface of the base portion to the valley peak is inclined.

    Abstract: An ultrasonic vibration transmittable probe includes a probe body configured to transmit ultrasonic vibration generated by an ultrasonic transducer. A treatment section is provided on a distal end side of the probe body along its longitudinal axis and is configured to cut a treatment object with the ultrasonic vibration. The treatment section includes first to third cutting surfaces disposed at progressively proximal positions. A portion of the first cutting surface has a dimension along a first orthogonal direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis that is smaller than a dimension of the second cutting surface along the first orthogonal direction.

    Abstract: An ultrasound probe includes: a probe main body section to which ultrasonic vibration generated by an ultrasound transducer is transmitted; a controller that is connected to the ultrasound transducer and controls generation of the ultrasonic vibration; and a treatment section that is provided on a distal side of the probe main body section and forms a hole in a bone, which is a treatment target, with the ultrasonic vibration. The treatment section has a distal end and a proximal end and includes a columnar portion, a cutting portion that cuts the bone by crushing the bone with the ultrasound vibration and forms the hole, and a discharge portion that discharges cutting debris of the bone cut by the cutting portion toward the proximal end from the cutting portion, the discharge portion including a recessed portion formed in a groove shape inclined with respect to the longitudinal axis.
