    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a supporting structure includes disposing a supported member between a pair of support walls opposed to each other, the support walls and the supported member having through shaft holes formed coaxially through the support walls and the supported member respectively, inserting a shaft member through the shaft holes in the disposed state, the shaft member has two ends each of which has a peripheral portion circumferentially divided into a plurality of swaging portions, and swaging the swaging portions sequentially such that regions of the shaft member corresponding to the respective swaging portions are fixed in the shaft holes of the respective support walls.

    Abstract: A lash adjuster includes a bottomed cylindrical body and a cylindrical plunger reciprocably inserted into the body and having a bottom wall and a peripheral wall. The plunger has a low-pressure chamber. The peripheral wall of the plunger includes an annular band portion abutting against an upper part of a peripheral wall of the body. The peripheral wall of the plunger has a plurality of plunger oil holes located below the band portion. The plunger oil holes include respective lower ends defining a level of the oil stored in the low-pressure chamber. The plurality of plunger oil holes are located at a common height position of the peripheral wall of the plunger coming close to the band portion.

    Abstract: A bearing device includes a support having a bearing hole, a shaft member slidably inserted into the bearing hole thereby to be rotatably supported by the support, the shaft member having an axial end surface and a locking part located on the axial end surface of the shaft member to protrude in an axial direction of the shaft member from an outer periphery of the axial end surface of the shaft member.
