摘要: A method, system, and computer program product for gap filling in a social network are provided. The method includes providing details of one or more current online users in a game in which users are scored for their input. A person is selected from candidates for whom additional information is required in a social network, including: weighting candidates who have a strong relationship with a current online user in the game; and weighting candidates for whom there is little existing data in the social network. The method includes identifying the selected person to a current online user; receiving information input by a current online user relating to the selected person; and scoring the information input by a current online user.

摘要: Method, system, and computer program product are provided for scoring of crowd-computing inputs. A group of data is provided to crowd-computing participants and the participants are requested to provide candidate members or the group of data. The computer-implemented method performed includes: receiving an input by a participant, wherein the input is a candidate member; counting multiple inputs of the same candidate member by participants; validating a candidate member; rewarding the participants inputting the candidate member, with a higher reward for participants who input the candidate member earlier than other participants; and supplying the rewards to participants once the candidate member has been validated.

摘要: A shared feed reader for multiple users and a method for sharing feed reading are provided which provide group collaboration features. The shared feed reader includes a server including a processor hosting the shared feed reader for remote access by multiple users, and a user interface for each of the multiple users including an aggregator of web feeds subscribed to by the user. The shared feed reader includes: a mechanism for defining a group of users, wherein web feeds subscribed to by users in the group are exposed to the other users in the group; and a mechanism for sharing a read status of a web feed post across the group, wherein the read status indicates which users have read the post. The shared feed reader may also include a mechanism for receiving a meta-feed of meta-posts, wherein meta-feeds and meta-posts relate to activities of users in the group on shared feeds and posts.

摘要: A method and system for obtaining social network information are provided. The method includes capturing a social environment at a given time including capturing a set of identities in a predefined proximity to a monitored identity at the given time, wherein an identity is an identity of a real person or a virtual identity, and recording parameters of the social environment. The method then combines the captured social environments in a time range for a monitored identity and analyses the combined captured social environments in the time range to provide a social network for the monitored identity including weightings of the relationships between the monitored identity and the captured identities. The monitored identity and the captured identities may be avatars and the predefined proximity may be a proximity to a virtual location. Alternatively or additionally, the monitored identity and the captured identities may be identities of real people or groups of people, and the predefined proximity may be a proximity to a real location.

摘要: A method and system for selecting communication means are provided. The method includes receiving a request for communication (102) by a current user (101) with a target contact and searching data of prior communication attempts (105) by prior users with one or more prior target contacts using different communication means, wherein the current user and the prior users fall within a first defined category and the target contact and the prior target contacts fall within a second defined category. The success of the communication means of prior communication attempts is determined (104) and a communication means for the current user is recommended (103). The method includes referencing (107) relationship resource (109) to determine if users or target contacts fall within defined categories, such as, for example, an organizational structure level, a department, or a group of people with a given form of relationship to another group of people.

摘要: A method and system for preventing sending of messages to incorrect email recipients are provided. The method includes determining (120) the intended recipients of an email message prior to sending and comparing the intended recipients to defined recipient groups (126, 122). Potential errors in the intended recipients are identified and a prompt (125) is provided to amend the intended recipients. The prompt (125) provides a suggestion to replace, add or remove an intended recipient. The defined recipient groups include one or more of groups of recipients formed from an organization data structure (122), groups of recipients defined by a user, and groups of recipients (126) mined from one or more user's previous email correspondence.
