    摘要: The invention relates to a roll for a paper or board machine comprising axle journals on whose support the roll is arranged to revolve, end flanges with which the axle journals are connected, and a mantle which is connected with the end flanges. The mantle is provided with a number of openings extending through the mantle and/or recesses formed into the outer surface of the mantle, which openings and/or recesses form a regular pattern. Solid connecting portions in the outer surface of the mantle around said openings and/or recesses are opened so that, from each opening and/or recess, there is a connection, provided in the form of a groove or an additional recess extending into the outer surface of the roll mantle, with at least each of the openings and/or recesses adjacent to it.

    摘要: A grooved forming roll in a paper machine has a rotably supported shell (20) with circular openings (21) arranged to be open at least on the outer surface of the shell (20). Each opening (21) has a circular groove which is formed on the outer surface and which is arranged concentrically relative to the opening (21). A portion of the formed circular openings (22) extends to each opening (21) from each adjacent opening (21). The outer radius (r) of the circular groove (22) is arranged such that the number of necks (24), delimited by the adjacent openings (21) and their circular grooves (22) on the shell outer surface within the area of one circular groove (22), is greater than the number of the adjacent openings (21) of the corresponding opening (21).

    摘要: A seal construction for a suction roll in a paper machine including a substantially U-section holder open toward an inner face of the roll mantle and a seal mounted in the holder and extending in the axial direction of the roll. The seal includes a frame part arranged within the holder and a wear part fixed to the frame part and placed against the inner face of the roll mantle. The seal construction also includes a loading hose for shifting the seal in the holder against the inner face of the roll mantle. In the interior of the frame part of the seal, an inner loading member is arranged to lock the frame part of the seal in contact with the holder so as to position the wear part of the seal in the desired position in relation to the inner face of the roll mantle.
