    Abstract: A belt-driven escalator (2) includes a plurality of escalator steps (4) arranged to travel along an inclined conveyance path (101), a drive belt (10) connected to the plurality of escalator steps (4), a drive system (24) arranged to drive the drive belt (10) so as to propel the plurality of escalator steps (4) along the inclined conveyance path (101); and a belt support structure (22). The belt support structure (22) includes a plurality of support wheels (206) and a support belt (212) extending over the plurality of support wheels (206). The support belt (212) is arranged to provide support to the plurality of escalator steps (4) via the drive belt (10).

    Abstract: A drive belt monitoring system for a passenger conveyor (10) is provided having a drive belt (30) having at least one cord (36) extending longitudinally within the drive belt (30). The monitoring system (50) includes: a first sensor (52) configured to measure the pretension of the drive belt (30); a second sensor (54) configured to determine a passenger load on the drive belt (30); a third sensor (56) configured to determine the resonance frequency of the drive belt (30); and a controller (60) configured to evaluate a condition of the drive belt (30) based on: the measured pretension of the drive belt (30), the determined passenger load of the drive belt (30), and the determined resonance frequency of the drive belt (30).

    Abstract: The invention relates to a people conveyor drive (40) of a people conveyor (1) comprising a plurality of treads (13) interconnected to form an endless tread band (12). The people conveyor drive (40) comprises a tension member drive system (25) configured for driving the endless tread band (12), and a shaft (50) having a shaft main portion (52) and at least one shaft support portion (54). The at least one shaft support portion (54) is supported by at least one shaft bearing (57) to be rotatable around a shaft axis (A). The shaft (50) is configured for engaging with an endless tread drive tension member (15). The shaft (50) has a split shaft configuration in which the shaft main portion (52) is detachably coupled to the at least one shaft support portion (54).
