Abstract: An organic compound according to the present invention has, as the skeleton thereof, a structure that has a phenyl group incorporated at the —N terminus at position 9 in carbazole wherein an aryl(heteroaryl)amine group is incorporated via a linker at position 4 in carbazole, and the amine group includes a terphenyl group, dibenzofuran, or dibenzothiophene. Due to these structural characteristics, the compound according to the present invention may be employed in organic layers, such as an electron block layer, in organic light-emitting devices to realize an organic light-emitting device having light emission characteristics such as low driving voltage, excellent luminous efficiency, and the like of the device, and thus may be advantageously used industrially in a variety of display devices.
