Abstract: A novel composition having the formula: 1 wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group containing from 1 to 20 carbon atoms and an aryl group, and R2 is selected from the group consisting of an alkyl group containing from 1 to 20 carbon atoms and an aryl group. The composition is made by combining an amine compound, a carbonyl compound, a solvent, and a sulfur-containing compound. The composition is used as a detergent additive in cleaning process.
