Abstract:
THIS APPLICATION IS DIRECTED TO A METHOD FOR PREPARING MICROCAPSULES COMPRISING A NUCLEUS OF SILVER HALIDE SURROUNDED BY A CONTINUOUS WALL OF A SYNTHETIC POLYMER, WHICH METHOD COMPRISES FORMING A RELATIVELY THIN LAYER OF REACTANTS INCLUDING MONOMER AND SILVER HALIDE GRAINS AND EXPOSING SAID THIN LAYER TO POLYMEIZING RADIATION WHEREBY THE MONOMERS PREFERENTIALLY POLYMERIZE AROUND THE SILVER HALIDE.
