Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrochemical catalyst with a Schottky junction that can be used for selective redox reactions, more specifically, it is configured to forming a Schottky contact on the interface between metals, and metal oxides operating as a semiconductor material to selectively occur oxidation or reduction reactions through Schottky barrier control. Accordingly, the present invention ensures that substantially only oxidation reactions occur in the anode of a fuel cell or a water electrolyzer, while substantially only reduction reactions occur in the cathode and, thereby, has the effects of preventing catalyst degradation and increasing durability.
