摘要： A mercury amalgam cathode electrolytic cell useful for the electrolysis of aqueous alkali metal chloride solutions is disclosed. The electrolytic cell includes means for reducing or eliminating the effects of electromagnetic fields induced in the mercury amalgam cathode by the various electrical currents in the vicinity of the cell.
