Abstract: A filter module for dead-end and cross-flow filtration processes is provided comprising: a frame element comprising two substantially planar faces defining first and second openings at opposite sides thereof; a first and a second filter medium in the form of a sheet material, said filter media each having a first side and a second side; the first and second filter media being attachable in a fluid tight manner to the frame element and fully cover its first and second openings, respectively, a space defined and delimited by the frame element and the two filter media, said second sides of the filter media being arranged to face said space; and said frame element comprising one or more frame sections accommodating one or more ports providing a fluid flow path from said space to the exterior of the filter module.
