Abstract: Provided is a power generation element or the like in which a power generation amount is less likely to vary. Power generation element (100) includes magnetic member (110) that produces a large Barkhausen effect because of a change in an external magnetic field, coil (130) wound around magnetic member (110), and ferrite member (150) disposed side by side with coil (130) along a winding axis direction of coil (130) and including opening (151) into which a part of magnetic member (110) is inserted. In the winding axis direction, ferrite member (150) includes end surface (152) positioned farther than end surface (111) of magnetic member (110).

Abstract: Provided are a power generation element, an encoder, and a method of manufacturing a magnetic member capable of increasing generated power. Power generation element includes magnetic member that produces a large Barkhausen effect, coil wound around magnetic member, and ferrite member provided at an end of magnetic member to be aligned with coil along a winding axis direction of coil. Ferrite member includes main body located inside columnar space and protrusion connected to main body and located outside columnar space. Columnar space is surrounded by a virtual plane when it is assumed that an outer edge of coil when viewed from the winding axis direction of coil is extended to both sides of the coil in the winding axis direction of coil, and is sandwiched between two virtual planes that are in contact with both ends of magnetic member in the winding axis direction of coil and are orthogonal to the winding axis direction.

Abstract: Provided is a rotation detector capable of suppressing the occurrence of erroneous detection. Rotation detector includes magnet that rotates together with a rotary shaft, a plurality of power generation elements that generate power according to a change in a magnetic field due to rotation of magnet together with the rotary shaft, and a plurality of magnetic sensors provided to a corresponding one of the plurality of power generation elements. Rotation detector further includes information processor that determines a rotational position of the rotary shaft by using the plurality of magnetic sensors, and generated power supply unit that supplies the power generated by each of the plurality of power generation elements only to the corresponding one of the plurality of power generation elements.
