Abstract: This cylindrical battery comprises an electrode body in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are wound with a separator interposed therebetween, an electrolyte, a bottomed cylindrical outer can accommodating the electrode body and the electrolyte, and a sealing body blocking an opening portion of the outer can, wherein: the sealing body has a cap disposed in the outermost portion of the sealing body; the cap includes a protruding portion formed in a central portion thereof; the protruding portion includes a top surface portion and a side wall portion; and a plurality of independent venting ports are formed in the top surface portion and the side wall portion.
