摘要: The invention relates to processes for the combustion of liquid fuels, including a means of using an oxygenated gas in a combustion zone, applicable to steam boilers, which produces a longer, more uniform and cooler oxygen flame than a conventional oxygen flame. According to the invention, the liquid fuel is injected into the combustion zone in atomized form, the fuel being atomized by bringing a stream of fuel into contact with a stream of atomizing fluid, and: prior to its atomization, the liquid fuel has a viscosity of at least 30×10−6 m2/s, the stream of fuel is brought into contact with the stream of atomizing fluid only in the combustion zone, and oxygenated gas is injected into the combustion zone in stages.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for the combustion of a fuel using an oxygenated gas, in which a jet of fuel and at least two jets of oxygen-rich oxygenated gas are injected. According to the invention, the first jet of oxygen-rich oxygenated gas, known as the primary jet, is injected such as to be in contact with the jet of fuel and to produce a first incomplete combustion, the gases produced by said first combustion comprising at least one part of the fuel, and the second jet of oxygen-rich oxygenated gas is injected at a distance I1 from the jet of fuel such as to combust with a first part of the fuel present in the gases produced by the first combustion. Moreover, a low-oxygen oxygenated gas is injected at a distance I2 from the jet of fuel such as to combust with a second part of the fuel present in the gases produced by the first combustion, I2 being greater than I1. The invention also relates to the burner used to carry out the method and to the use of said method for the heating of a glass filler or for a reheating furnace.

摘要: A burner assembly having improved flame length and shape control is presented, which includes in exemplary embodiments at least one fuel fluid inlet and at least one oxidant fluid inlet, means for transporting the fuel fluid from the fuel inlet to a plurality of fuel outlets, the fuel fluid leaving the fuel outlets in fuel streams that are injected into a combustion chamber, means for transporting the oxidant fluid from the oxidant inlets to at least one oxidant outlet, the oxidant fluid leaving the oxidant outlets in oxidant fluid streams that are injected into the combustion chamber, with the fuel and oxidant outlets being physically separated, and geometrically arranged in order to impart to the fuel fluid streams and the oxidant fluid streams angles and velocities that allow combustion of the fuel fluid with the oxidant in a stable, wide, and luminous flame. Alternatively, injectors may be used alone or with the refractory block to inject oxidant and fuel gases. The burner assembly affords improved control over flame size and shape and may be adjusted for use with a particular furnace as required.

摘要: The invention relates to a staged oxyfuel combustion method in which a combustion chamber is injected with a jet of fuel inside a jet of primary oxygen gas which is introduced through a hole having a diameter D and a secondary oxygen gas which is introduced through a hole having a diameter d, which is positioned at a distance l from the hole for the primary oxygen gas. According to the invention, the jet of fuel emerges at a distance r set back from the wall of the combustion chamber. The oxygen-rich oxygen gas is pre-heated to a temperature of at least 300° C. The r/D ratio is between 5 and 20 or between 0.75 and 3 and the l/d ratio is at least 2.

摘要: A burner assembly having improved flame length and shape control is presented, which includes in exemplary embodiments at least one fuel fluid inlet and at least one oxidant fluid inlet, means for transporting the fuel fluid from the fuel inlet to a plurality of fuel outlets-, the fuel fluid leaving the fuel outlets in fuel streams that are injected into a combustion chamber, means for transporting the oxidant fluid from the oxidant inlets to at least one oxidant outlet, the oxidant fluid leaving the oxidant outlets in oxidant fluid streams that are injected into the combustion chamber, with the fuel and oxidant outlets being physically separated, and geometrically arranged in order to impart to the fuel fluid streams and the oxidant fluid streams angles and velocities that allow combustion of the fuel fluid with the oxidant in a stable, wide, and luminous flame. Alternatively, injectors may be used alone or with the refractory block to inject oxidant and fuel gases. The burner assembly affords improved control over flame size and shape and may be adjusted for use with a particular furnace as required.
