摘要： A cartridge is provided with a supply housing having at least one exterior surface defining a supply area adapted to receive a donor ribbon of predetermined width and a take-up housing having a main wall that defines a take-up area for receiving donor ribbon of predetermined width. A take-up projection on the take-up housing and the main wall jointly define a take-up window therebetween through which donor ribbon passes into the take-up area. The take-up projection includes at least one tensioning feature so as to pre-load the take-up projection such that the take-up projection is inhibited from warping toward towards the main wall.

摘要： A method of assembling an ink ribbon cartridge comprises inserting a leaf spring having a mounting frame and a flat spring finger that longitudinally extends from the mounting frame, beginning at an opening in the mounting frame, and at an acute angle from the opening, into a housing-half to position the spring finger pointing at the acute angle into the housing-half, and inserting an ink ribbon spool having opposite hub ends and a rotation axis into the housing-half, laterally relative to the rotation axis, to cause one of the hub ends to depress the spring finger at least partially into the opening, whereby the spring finger will urge the spool in one direction along the rotation axis.

摘要： A corrosion-resistant pump for propelling a fluid therethrough, the pump comprises a first magnet for providing a magnetic field. A motor is attached to the first magnet for rotating the magnet. A container is placed adjacent said first magnet for preventing the fluid contained therein from contacting the motor and the first magnet. A second magnet is disposed within the container and magnetically interacting with the first magnet which interaction, in turn, causes the second magnet to rotate simultaneously with rotation of the first magnet. The second magnet is coated with a ceramic magnetic material on its first portion and a bulk ceramic magnet attached to its second portion for preventing corrosion of the magnet and enhancing magnetic flux with the second magnet. A propeller is disposed within the container, and is attached to and simultaneously rotates with the second magnet for propelling the fluid through the container.
