The personal virtual assistant includes a medical device and remote station that is connectable via a wireless network to a server containing a control processor and rules engine. The medical device is used to provide physiological information to the remote station. The remote station communicates the physiological information and other related information to the server that monitors the information for a number of reasons, including determining whether the physiological information has a trend. Based on the detrimental trend, the server communicates back to the remote station virtual assistance in the form of advice regarding tips to help facilitate halting or reversing the trend.

    摘要: Location of a wireless communication device is determined by a combination of geolocation and a detection of augmenting data such as acceleration and/or speed over time measurements. A last known terrestrial navigation fix is established based on reliable terrestrial navigation or GPS data. A zone of valid location fixes based on the last known terrestrial navigation fix and an output of a rate detection circuit can be established. A weighted average is taken of using independent location measurement and detected location using last known reliable position plus change in position by integrating position changes over time.

    摘要: A wireless device provides location data concerning an object by use of geolocation in order to provide distance tracking and local location techniques in order to provide local tracking. The geolocation and local location techniques may be implemented at the same time or individually, reconfigurable on demand, in both the tracking and tracked devices. The tracked wireless device includes a wireless communication circuit capable of communication with a multiuser wireless subscriber network. A geolocation reading circuit provides GPS or similar location data and is capable of obtaining geolocation data concerning the object. A local locating device parses local location data, and an indication is provided of geolocation based on the geolocation data, and is further responsive to the local location data which is used to modify the geolocation data with the local location data.

A novel infrastructure supports resource and/or location based matching services over a wireless network. A flexible database architecture supports application-specific resources which facilitate the deployment of various matching services. Application developers are thus able to implement different resource-matching applications for wireless devices through a common back-end infrastructure. Additionally, the match engine may include a feedback mechanism that permits the match engine to learn a user's preferences.

    摘要: A scheme is provided for distributing reference geographical locations on a network. Geolocation information is integrated or associated with one or more network infrastructure devices to permit them to serve as reference points for the rest of the network. A reference geographical location associated with a network infrastructure device may be broadcast by the network infrastructure device over a network. Alternatively, other network devices may request reference geographical location from a network infrastructure device or obtain it from a network-accessible database that stores such geolocation information. Other network devices can then use the one or more reference geographical locations to determine their own geographical location. By allowing existing network devices to take advantage of the geolocation capability of its “neighboring” network devices, this scheme provides a convenient way to deliver geolocation to many network devices.
