摘要： A subscriber network interface device for multiple subscriber pairs at a common location housed internally in a compact connector block easily mounted upon a wall by screws or a known mounting bracket to eliminate the need for installation of separate one or two line network interface devices. Incoming line connection is made using quick clip elements. Outgoing line connection is made via a female connector which is used to communicate with other quick clips. The circuits are latched in actuated state by the application of a 130 volt direct current applied to the tip or ring side of the line.

The boot is suitable for installation by the subscriber without the use of tools and employing only ordinary skill. In each of the embodiments, the boot comprises a pair of separable members which are spreadable to enclose part of the plug structure, and resilient means engaging said separable members to maintain them in abutted relation.

摘要： A vacuum device for removing a lodged mass or bolus from the throat of a choking victim. The device includes a pump for creating a vacuum chamber communicating with a mouthpiece having a frangible membrane. A resilient striker fractures the membrane to generate a substantially instantaneous vacuum to the mouthpiece to dislodge the mass. In one embodiment, the membrane is substituted by a manually displaceable sealing member, which is resealed after use of the device by movement of a vacuum-generating plunger.

摘要： An improved electrode construction for use in telephone protector modules, characterized in at least one of the pair of electrodes having an operative surface thereon defining a plurality of radially extending, generally pie-shaped sections forming plateau areas separated by radially extending grooves which serve to collect eroded particles and provide a means for venting the particles from the air gap separating the pair of electrodes. 摘要： An improved telephone connector block construction permitting the convenience of blocks normally connected at parallel sidewalls thereof to be conveniently interconnected at a forwardly facing surface in those installations where side interconnection is not practical or desirable. The construction includes an element providing guiding means for jumper connections leading to the forwardly facing surface including the necessary fanning openings, and a second element forming pin terminal means on said forwardly facing surface. The improved structure permits the mounting of adjacent connector blocks at closer intervals than otherwise possible where specific installation sites require such closer spacing.

摘要： An improved connector block comprises a molded main body portion having test pin and connection-effecting pin couplet fields orthogonally disposed therein. In service, as on a telephone central office main distributing frame, the block receives and terminates two wire groups (e.g., subscriber lines and switching equipment conductors), selectively establishing connections therebetween via couplet pin joining plug connectors. Internal conductors connect each cross connection implementing pin couplet to an appearance in the test pin field.The connector block assembly reliably effects circuit interconnections employing minimal wire wrap junctions; may be readily and relatively inexpensively constructed; and may be flexibly and efficiently installed and utilized.

In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, digital computer apparatus is employed both for data processing and assembling purposes, and also for circuit control. Further, such circuit control is advantageously effected by a dedicated microprocessor with ancillary instruction (ROM) and read-write (RAM) memories.
