摘要: A distance measurement arrangement provides a distance indication based on a delay between an electromagnetic signal, transmitted in a transmission mode, and a reflection of the electromagnetic signal, received in a reception mode. The distance measurement arrangement includes an antenna module having a plurality of antennas for transmitting the electromagnetic signal and for receiving the reflection. A beam-forming module defines respective magnitude and phase relationships with respect to respective antennas so as to cause the antenna module to provide a directional antenna pattern in at least one the two modes. A beam-forming and steering control module controls the respective magnitude and phase relationships as a function of a direction command. A 3-D picture can be formed by applying respective direction commands so as to obtain respective distance indications for respective portion in a two-dimensional picture.

摘要: A distance measurement arrangement (DDM) provides a distance indication (DV) on the basis of a delay between an electromagnetic signal (TB), which is transmitted in a transmission mode, and a reflection (RB) of the electromagnetic signal, which is received in a reception mode. The distance measurement arrangement includes an antenna module (AM) comprising a plurality of antennas for transmitting the electromagnetic signal (TB) and for receiving the reflection (RB) thereof. A beam-forming module (BF) defines respective magnitude and phase relationships with respect to respective antennas so as to cause the antenna module (AM) to provide a directional antenna pattern in at least one the two aforementioned modes. Preferably, a beam-forming and steering control module (BC) controls the respective magnitude and phase relationships as a function of a direction command (DIR). A 3-D picture can be formed by applying respective direction commands (DIR) so as to obtain respective distance indications (DV) for respective portions in a two-dimensional picture.

摘要: The present invention relates to a transmission apparatus having at least two transmission branches for transmitting respective transmission signals at substantially same frequencies, and to a method of controlling such a transmission apparatus. A first oscillator circuit (62) is provided for generating a first signal at a first frequency to be used in a first transmission branch. Additionally, a second oscillator circuit (64) is provided for generating a second signal at a second frequency to be used in a second transmission branch, the second frequency being different from the first frequency. To enable transmission of the transmission signals at said substantially same frequencies, at least one frequency divider or multiplier (72, 74) is provided for dividing or respectively multiplying at least one of said first and second frequencies by a respective predetermined factor. Thereby, the first and second oscillator circuits can be operated at different frequencies, so that mutual coupling can be reduced.

摘要: The present invention relates to a transmission apparatus having at least two transmission branches for transmitting respective transmission signals at substantially same frequencies, and to a method of controlling such a transmission apparatus. Another object detection module (SC3) is caused to operate in a probing slave mode (PSM). The system and method of the present invention produces a desired harmonic by employing techniques using gain stages (or limiter/comparator circuits) in combination with pre-defined offset voltages (or currents).
