摘要： The shipping envelope comprises a forward panel and a rear panel closed along their side edges and a first bottom edge, with their second opposite edges free of each other to provide access to the interior. Each panel has an interior face and an exterior face, the forward panel being longer than the rear panel to form a foldable flap. Adhesive is applied to the exterior face of the flap and to the exterior face of the rear panel except for the marginal edges, and release sheets cover the adhesive areas. In use, the release sheet is first removed from the rear panel and the latter is pressed against a package to attach the envelope in place. One or more shipping documents may be inserted in the mounted envelope at the same or different times with the marginal edges of the rear panel allowed to bend upward to allow the envelope to accomodate the thickness of the documents. Thereafter the flap is folded under the mouth of the envelope to serve as a closure and with the release shut removed the adhesive exterior face is pressed against the package to complete the sealing and mounting of the documents.

摘要： An overnight letter envelope is provided wherein a pouch is formed between a flexible transparent sheet and the outer surface of one panel of the envelope with the major portions of the lengthwise edges of the flexible transparent sheet being covered by portions of the side panels of the envelope. Cut outs are provided in the side panels so that one widthwise edge of the flexible transparent sheet may be moved away from the outer surface of the panel of the envelope; the airbill inserted into the pouch; a peel away strip removed from the flexible transparent sheet and the flexible transparent sheet secured to the outer surface of the panel of the envelope by self adhering adhesive on the portion of the inner surface of the flexible transparent sheet.

摘要： A circuit for adjusting the amplitude of a reference signal to a predetermined level so as to permit subsequent data signals to be interpreted correctly. The circuit includes an operational amplifier having a feedback circuit connected between an output terminal and an input terminal; a bank of relays operably connected to a plurality of resistors; and a comparator comparing an output voltage of the amplifier with a reference voltage and generating a compared signal responsive thereto. Means is provided for selectively energizing the relays according to the compared signal from the comparator until the output signal from the amplifier equals to the reference signal. A second comparator is provided for comparing the output of the amplifier with a second voltage source so as to illuminate a lamp when the output signal from the amplifier exceeds the second voltage.

摘要： A currency holding folder having a bottom panel, a cover and a top flap holds bills of currency to form a packet of a predetermined thickness which can be checked by feelers to determine full loading. The top flap has an end cutout to provide clearance for a gripper of an inserting machine, and the top flap is narrower than the bottom panel so that the top flap does not go under a hold-down guide. The top flap is shorter than the bottom panel which has a corner cutout to expose the corners of currency bills in the folder. The cover is of substantially the same width as the bottom panel so that the front edge of the cover is at the edge of the folder.

摘要： Envelope making apparatus including a frame and conveyor means on said frame for transporting envelope blanks along a path. Stations distributed along this conveyor means form an envelope blank into an envelope structure comprising a body and at least one open flap lying transversely of the direction of travel of the conveyor means. A conveyor mechanism extends transversely of the conveyor means described, and transports an envelope structure away from said conveyor means with this open flap paralleling the direction of travel of the conveyor mechanism. A gumming station provided in said conveyor mechanism applies deposits of gum to the body and flap of the envelope structure.
