    摘要： An index card assembly which allows selective adherence of an index card to a mounting surface is disclosed. A base paper layer of the index card has a front side and an opposite back side. The paper layer has an upper edge with a portion of the paper layer removed to define a paperless zone which includes a gap across the upper edge. A cover layer having an outer face and an inner face is adhered by pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on its inner face to the front side of the paper layer. The cover layer is aligned to cover the paperless zone with a top of the cover layer extending across the gap of the paperless zone. The adhesive on the inner face of the cover layer is exposed across the paperless zone on the back side of the paper layer. The thickness of the paper layer prevents the adhesive from contacting a surface abutting the back side of the paper layer in the absence of the application of a threshold level of pressure against the outer face of the cover layer.

    摘要： The present invention is directed to a combined writing instrument/sheet material dispenser. The present invention is comprised of a body that has a tip portion, a sheet material dispenser portion and a grip portion disposed between the tip portion and the sheet material dispenser portion. Formed within the sheet material dispensing portion of the body is a compartment that is sized to receive and hold a stack of sheet material. The stack of sheet material is formed from a plurality of individual sheets that are adhered together with a releasable adhesive layer. A slot is formed in the sheet material dispensing portion of the body to communicate with the compartment and there by allow a top-most sheet in the stack to be exposed for use.

    摘要： A dispenser for paper sheets from a stack comprising a plurality of the sheets disposed one on top of another, each sheet having a band of pressure sensitive adhesive coated on one surface adjacent one edge thereof and being free of adhesive coating along a portion adjacent an opposite edge thereof, and the sheets being stacked with the adhesive coating on each successive sheet disposed along alternate opposite sides of the stack and releasably adhering the sheets together to maintain the sheets in the stack. The dispenser has surfaces defining a cavity adapted to receive the stack including opposed end surfaces adapted to be engaged by the opposite sides of the stack, and two spaced friction surface portions extending generally toward each other from the upper ends of the end surfaces which are generally arcuate and concave about an axis parallel to the upper ends of the end surfaces. The dispenser arcs the stack and presses it toward the friction surface portions to afford positioning the uppermost sheets of the stack along the friction surface portions with the adhesive free portion of the uppermost sheet in the stack projecting through the opening so that by grasping that end portion the uppermost sheet on the stack can be manually pulled through the opening and will carry with it the adhesive free end portion of the sheet beneath it in the stack to which the uppermost sheet is adhered by the adhesive coating, placing that adhesive free end portion in a position where it also may be grasped and pulled to withdraw the next sheet from the stack.

    摘要： The combination of (1) sheets of note paper in a stack with each of the sheets having a narrow band of adhesive coated on its bottom surface along one edge by which the sheet is adhered to the top surface of the adjacent sheet in the stack, the sheets being stacked with the band of adhesive of adjacent sheets at alternate opposite sides of the stack, and (2) a dispenser comprising a housing closely receiving the top, bottom and first side surfaces of the stack of sheets. The housing includes a top wall of flexible material adjacent the top surface of the stack, which top wall has through flanking slits parallel to and flanking side surfaces of the stack and generally centered along those side surfaces, and spaced edge surfaces extending between the flanking slits. The flanking slits and edge surfaces define two opposed flap like portions of the top wall and a slot through the top wall between the flap like portion through which slot projects a portion of the uppermost sheet in the stack. When the uppermost sheet in the stack is withdrawn through the slot the flap like portion adjacent the band of adhesive on the uppermost sheet will flex away from the stack to form a convex arcuate surface adjacent the stack along which the sheet being withdrawn and the end of the second uppermost sheet in the stack to which the band of adhesive is adhered can slide to thereby restrict curling of the sheets, and the flap like portion opposite the band of adhesive on the withdrawn uppermost sheet will place drag on the second uppermost sheet in the stack so that the force applied to withdraw the uppermost sheet will peel the uppermost sheet away from the end of the second uppermost sheet in the stack after it is withdrawn through the slot rather than fully withdrawing the second sheet through the slot.
