Abstract:
Drive device for a vehicle part that is displaceable between end positions, with an electric motor connected by a reduction gear to a driving pinion which is connected to the vehicle part so as to drive it, as well as with a switching device for controlling the motor to stop the motor in at least one predetermined position of the vehicle part. To actuate the switching device there is a switch wheel which, during displacement of the vehicle part between its end positions, is rotated less than 360.degree. by an eccentric gear train. The eccentric gear train has an external gear with an internal toothing coaxial to a common shaft of the reduction gear and the eccentric gear train, an eccentric disk that is connected to the common shaft in a manner precluding relative rotation between the eccentric disk, and an internal gear with an external toothing that meshes with the internal toothing of the external gear. The internal gear is supported on the eccentric disk for relative rotation between the internal gear and the eccentric disk. The internal gear is prevented from rotating relative to the external gear and is guided for movement back and forth along an adjusting axis that is normal to the axial direction of the shaft. The external gear is connected to the switch wheel to rotate with it.
Abstract:
A connector for lightwave guides with release levers attached at the narrow sides thereof, which, when lateral pressure is applied, actuate detents. Simultaneously at the narrow sides of the connector casing recesses are provided for the release levers such that the release levers do not rise more than a small amount above the edge of the recess; whereby, the connector can be pulled by manual actuation of the release lever through the recess.
Abstract:
A device for securing fiber-shaped light waveguides in a lead-through opening of a housing comprises a fixing member of elastic deformable material which is inserted into the through-opening. The fixing member has at least one channel for loosely receiving the light waveguide and is provided with a recess, either in the interior of the member or between an outer periphery of the member and an edge of the opening in which a stopper member is inserted to cause elastic deformation of the fixing member so that the channels grip the optical waveguides.
Abstract:
A control device for an electric motor which drives a motor vehicle part which is displaceable between reference positions, which is provided with a switch unit (12) for controlling the motor, there being a ratchet wheel (14) which, when the motor vehicle part is displaced, is forced to rotate less than 360 degrees between its end positions via an eccentric gearing (10) and actuates the switch unit depending on the rotational position of the ratchet wheel, the eccentric gearing having an externally toothed internal wheel and an internally toothed external wheel (24) which is interdigitally engaged to it, the ratchet wheel being supported for wobble motion with reference to a motor-driven shaft (18) which coupled to move with the motion of the displaceable motor vehicle part and which is pivotally mounted in a gearing housing (26), the ratchet wheel forming either the internal wheel or the external wheel of the eccentric gearing, the ratchet wheel and the switch unit being located within the gearing housing. The ratchet wheel (14) and the switch unit (12) are made for contactless actuation of the switch unit.
Abstract:
A scrap cutter transport unit reduces assembly and dismantling times during production of mass-produced components. The scrap cutter transport unit includes a base frame for accommodating assemblies in both their transportation and operating states. During transportation, the transport unit accommodates a cutter stand in a removed state so that the cutter stand can pivot about a point. A second transport unit is formed by a press frame which includes auxiliary supports for transportation purposes.
Abstract:
The burnout of a fuel element in a reactor is determined by first transferring a fuel element from a reactor to a measuring position and then subjecting the transferred fuel element at the position to a neutron flux. A first detector measures the total γ radiation emitted by the transferred fuel element and thereafter, if the radiation measured by the first detector exceeds a predetermined first limit, the transferred fuel element is returned back to the reactor. If not, a second detector measures a magnitude of high energy γ radiation above 1 MeV emitted by the transferred fuel element and thereafter only if the radiation measured by the second detector exceeds a predetermined second limit, the transferred fuel element is transferred back to the reactor. The element is not returned to the reactor if the radiation measured by the second detector is below the second limit.

Preparing an adsorption material for treating waste water containing heavy metals. Brown algae is crushed, separated from an alginate, crushed and ground to form particles about 500-1000 um and then rinsed with seawater and fresh water and thereafter dried to form the adsorption material.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a process and a device for reclaiming used foundry sands. In the process according to the invention the used sands are free from carbon-containing materials in a first step by means of a thermal treatment, inasmuch as they contain organic, carbon-containing material, and are subsequently mechanically cleaned batch-wise, for which purpose wear-resistant friction elements are moved through the sand charge as a function of the degree of oolitization of the respective sand batch at such a speed that the said grain of the batch is not destroyed. The device according to the invention consists of a cylindrical housing, in which rotatingly driven friction elements are provided, means for the batch-wise filling of the receptacle with used sand and means for discharge cleaned sand from the receptacle being provided. The drive of the friction elements is effected as a function of the degree of oolitization of the used sand and in such fashion that the quartz grain of the sand batch is not destroyted.
Abstract:
A device or appliance comprising a light waveguide plug connector is composed of a pin seated resiliently and with play in a socket. Both the pin and socket have cylindrical portions and conical end portions, one of the pins and socket has an intermediate tapering portion with a taper substantially less than the taper of the conical end portion. The slightly tapered intermediate portion will facilitate the plugging in of the pin into the socket, even given a radial offset of the axis of the socket and the pin to each other.
Abstract:
The electric circuit of the torque indicator in a torque wrench is automatically adjusted by the electric circuit of a detachable adjusting and calibrating instrument which is separably connectable to the wrench so that its torsion bar is deformable by the torque applicator wrench. Each circuit includes a microprocessor with means for displaying the measured torque, and interfaces are provided to separably connect the microprocessors to each other preparatory to an adjusting or calibrating operation. Each circuit further comprises one or more bridge circuits with strain gages, amplifiers for signals at the outputs of the bridge circuits, and analog-digital converters for transmission of signals from amplifiers to the respective microprocessor.
