    摘要: An articulating computer monitor apparatus has a base with a vertical stand and a support block which is infinitely adjustable over a range of vertical positions. A pair of cantilevered arms are pivotally attached to a support block attached to the upright stand. The cantilevered arms have an attachment end which are located close together which avoids creating a large gap between dual monitors mounted on the arms. The arms have an offset support section with pivotable clutch-hinges which are attached to flat panel monitors. The apparatus provides dual monitors which may be raised and lowered, pivoted toward each other or away and tilted backward and forward so that the user has the ability to move the monitors in three directions to create glare-free efficient viewing. Two of the assemblies can be used on a desktop to create a "stadium" effect.

    摘要: A single peripheral device bay including a frame can receive a variety of different adapter plates, and thereby accommodate the maximum number of devices for each of a variety of different types and/or sizes of peripheral devices when the adapter plates are chosen for the particular type and/or size of device. Such a peripheral device bay includes a frame that can be permanently attached to the chassis of a computer system or an external enclosure. The removable adapter plates are attached to the frame so as to accommodate different devices. Because the peripheral device bay can be permanently attached to the chassis or enclosure, it can provide either with additional structural stability.

A portion of the bracket includes a resilient surface formed therewith and extending into sliding engagement with the chassis. An alignment tab is attached to the bracket and extends therefrom into engagement with a groove in the chassis for guiding the bracket to a secured position. A securing tab is attached to the bracket and extends therefrom for engaging the chassis and securing the bracket in the secured position.

    摘要: An improved music notation system is disclosed. Each pitch has a discrete, highly memorable symbol and corresponding mnemonic, while still having a spatial component and mapping onto the same spot as the standard system. Thus the shape of a melody can be quickly discerned, while individual pitches can also be quickly recognized without having to learn the treble and bass clef separately. Each rhythmic symbol is also unique and most are horizontal, and so now reflect how long you hold each note, thus creating a spatial component where there was none before. This makes for each rhythmic symbol to be much more intuitive and easier to learn and understand. We've also changed minor rules that empirically give trouble to beginning learners, such as placement of sharps and flats, and the ties/dots system has also been improved.
